In subsequent years he experimented with a variety of gels (oil, acrylic, cardboard mache, plaster and watercolour) and techniques (airbrush, brush, spatula, relief), designed huge walls of a nightclub and he presented his art, wherever the opportunity was offered, for example in Dortmund, Muenster and Osnabrueck. Then (1995-96), he painted one year under Spanish sun, and presented his works, among others, in the cultural center 'Ateneo' in Alicante and in the gallery 'Schuppan' in Altea. Today Jan Bahrenberg is a marketing experienced multimedia producer. In 2005, he founded POORIST, an creative internet agency. He is a friend of understatement. By his journey through time and many experiments with gels and styles in which arrived today, what distinguishes his paintings: reduction and depth. His large format preference has remained. His paintings are dominated by self-imposed restrictions on size, color selection and technology. Light and dark contrasts are the predominant style. The real work of art is created in conjunction with the viewer.
